Workflow Tab – Technical Documentation

Overview

The Workflow tab allows users to create, configure, and schedule workflows in a guided step-by-step interface. This feature is designed to streamline the process of building automation flows within the application.

Steps to Build a Workflow

Step 1: Workflow Details

This is the first step in the workflow creation process.

Components:

  • Workflow Name:
Text input field where the user must enter a unique and descriptive name for the workflow.

  • Select Folder:
Dropdown menu allowing users to choose a folder to organize and store the workflow. The default folder is selected initially.

  • Workflow Steps:
Central section where users can add mappings in each step to the workflow.
Blue circular button: Click to add new mappings to the workflow. Click on the next step to Schedule the workflow.

Step 2: Schedule

In this step, users configure when and how often the workflow should run. They can choose between running the workflow on a schedule or without a schedule (manual trigger). Key fields include:

  • Schedule Name and Description for identification.

  • Start Date and Time to define when the workflow should begin.

  • Time Zone to ensure correct execution across regions.

  • Repeat Frequency (e.g., daily, weekly, or non-repeating).

This step ensures workflows are executed precisely when needed.

Step 3: Review & Save

In this final step, users are presented with a summary of the workflow including:

  • Workflow name

  • Folder location

  • All pipeline steps configured

Users can review their settings and click “Save Workflow” to persist the configuration. The saved workflow can be viewed in the manage tab.

Looking for labels? They can now be found in the details panel on the floating action bar.
